What is Dubai Chambers Business Council?

A Business Council is a non-profit organization consisting of a minimum of twenty companies, businesses owners and experts belonging to a certain nationality practicing a specific economic activity in Dubai.

What is the aim of the Business Council?

  • Assist the companies in the Emirate to expand in trade and investments abroad
  • Provide Councils with a platform to establish strong bilateral economic relations and enhance business growth to ensure a more conducive business environment
  • Provide a cross collaborative platform for the Councils to exchange information related to current and expected business opportunities with respect to the country they represent
  • Establish a clear operational framework to enhance the Councils’ efficacy and Members’ engagement
  • Enhance the governance of the Councils and their practices by establishing the fundamental values and principles that strengthen their decision-making process
  • Encourage transparency and enhance communication between the Councils and Dubai Chambers

A Business Group is a non-profit organization consisting of a minimum of twenty licensed, influential, and economically significant businesses of diverse sizes that practice a specific economic activity in Dubai, a set of harmonious business activities, or have a common interest in certain activities.

What is the aim of the Business Group?

  • Enhance the engagement of the Groups and their Members with Dubai Chambers’ advocacy endeavours for a more conducive business environment
  • Strengthen the role of the Groups in the business community
  • Establish a clear operation framework to enhance the Groups’ efficacy and Members’ engagement
  • Enhance the governance of the Groups and their practices by establishing the fundamental values and principles that strengthen their decision-making process
  • Encourage transparency and enhance communication between the Groups and Dubai Chambers

List of Business Groups and Councils

Requirements to Establish a Business Council

The first step is to contact the Business Relations team of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce by sending an email to Business.relations@wps02-chamber.azurewebsites.net to express interest in establishing a new business council. The Business Relations team of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce will provide you with a copy of the bylaws that regulate the activities of Business Councils.

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • The proposed name of the Business Council
  • A list that includes the names and contact details of a minimum of 20 companies that will be deemed as “founding members”

Below documents should be submitted no later than 90 days from the establishment:

  • A draft of the Business Council Articles of Association (an Articles of Association or AoA template will be provided to you upon request)
  • A work plan detailing the proposed Business Council’s objective and plans
