Overview
The opening of the International office in Buenos Aires is part of our strategy to strengthen our presence in Latin America. The Representative Office is a link to the Latin American market, especially Argentina, for Dubai companies interested in the region, it is also a platform for Argentinian companies that seek to conduct businesses in Dubai.
Dubai offers a favorable business environment and commercial scope. This office also helps Argentinian companies that are interested in entering the MENA region to use Dubai as a base to expand their market reach. Argentina is the seventh largest trading partner of Dubai in Latin America, with a non-oil bilateral trade that exceeded USD 225 million in 2019, representing an increase of 21% compared to USD 186 million in 2015.
The local office actively participates in identifying commercial opportunities and possible investments in sectors such as agribusiness, infrastructure, renewable energy, logistics, pharmaceuticals and tourism, as well as the promotion of general bilateral trade between both nations.
The office interacts with the main government agencies, such as the Argentine Investment Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassies, the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and also with many private sectors. The current economic context makes commercial openness to new markets a determining factor for the growth of companies that are encouraged to think bigger.
One of the main functions is to facilitate any commercial, cultural, educational interaction and to be a link in the region to bring both nations closer. The special and sustained interest of the Argentine market in Dubai is reflective of Dubai’s rapid commercial leadership and market relevance worldwide.
