The Panama office is the main ally for Dubai businesses looking to enter the Latin American market. Dubai Chambers Panama Office covers the regions of Central America, the Caribbean, and Northern South America.
We regularly participate in regional business events, promoting Dubai, and identifying bilateral trade and investment opportunities for our members.
The mandate of the Panama Office is to promote trade and investment between Dubai and Latin America, by gathering market information, connecting companies, and facilitating business between both regions. To do this, we offer a variety of services that help to promote and represent Dubai in Latin America, as well as attract promising companies to Dubai. Webinar: Trust in Tourism 4.0: How Dubai Adapted to Welcome you Back
Second webinar jointly organized by the Latin American International Offices that focused on how Dubai, from both a public and private sector perspective, took early steps to battle the Covid-19 pandemic and ensure the safe return of visitors. It featured speakers from different Dubai-based entities and attended by 476 participants.
Virtual Study Mission to Guatemala
First Virtual Study Mission organized to meet with public and private stakeholders in Guatemala to explore the market. Around 14 meetings were organized within different sectors such as exports, renewable energy, and F&B to evaluate market strengths, challenges, and opportunities. We had the presence of some Dubai Chamber members within these meetings.
Roundtable Breakfast with Local Stakeholders; Panama City, Panama
The first event of the year that focused on informing local public and private stakeholders about significant developments and overview of 2019 in Dubai and Dubai Chamber. Additionally, a short presentation on Expo 2020 was given to the 45 stakeholders that attended.
Costa Rica Study Mission & Buyers Trade Mission
The Panama Office visited San Jose, Costa Rica to study the business environment and attend the Buyers Trade Mission, the country’s largest annual export-oriented event. We met with several public and private stakeholders in sectors such as investments, F&B exports, and innovation. On the last day of the visit, we hosted a Doing Business in Dubai seminar with key business groups of the country.
Study Mission and Doing Business Dubai Forums; Bogota and Medellin, Colombia
The Panama Office conducted a mission to study the Colombian market by visiting the two main cities, Bogota and Medellin, to meet with public and private sector stakeholders. Aspects such as strengths, challenges, opportunities, and synergies were discussed. Additionally, the Panama Office presented local chamber of commerce members how to do business in Dubai and opportunities for business between both UAE and Colombia.
Roundtable Breakfast on Panama’s F&B Sector; Panama City, Panama
This event focused on informing Panamanian public and private F&B exporter stakeholders about the UAE’s F&B market, consumer trends, and opportunities. There was considerable discussion on which products from Panama could succeed in the UAE and wider Middle East.
Roundtable Lunch on Panama’s Logistics Sector; Panama City, Panama
Panama Office’s first event, which focused on the success of the Dubai logistics sector, and potential synergies with Panama. The event was attended by high-level private sector stakeholders of the logistics sector of the country and reinforced its importance for both the UAE and Panamanian economies.
